Call Before You Burn!

Controlled Burns:
If you are going to do a controlled burn you must call 1-870-423-7373 our non emergency dispatch line to inform them. It is best to burn during the daytime. When there is a burn at night many folks see it and call 911.
We will respond on any call we are dispatched to but consider a controlled burn called in to 911 as an honest mistake. Our volunteers serve the community and receive no compensation. Thank you for your consideration.

IS THE BURN BAN ON?
Each year we respond to rescues on the lake. Our older boat did not meet current standards because of its size. We were fortunate enough to receive a 22ft Boston Whaler Justice Model from Arkansas Forestry. It is purpose built exclusively for Law Enforcement and Rescue Work. It is equipped with O2, AED, Portable Suction, various trauma gear, a backboard, and other lifesaving equipment.

Grassy Knob Volunteer Fire Department
Mission Statement
The Grassy Knob Fire Department has one simple goal: To provide the community the best service possible. This is achieved by the commitment of all volunteers who do their part to make the department a success. From the firefighters to the fire chief, to the emergency medical responders (EMR’s) to the traffic controllers, a proud tradition of exceptional service has been established by those who came before and those here today. In the future, our department will continue to seek out new, innovative ways to provide quality service to our citizens, and to make Grassy Knob a great place to live.
